Case Study · Pool Care · South Shore Montreal
From Holding Page to Page One.
How a young pool-care company started from nothing online, and why 330 of its requests came in without an ad.
The Starting Point
His clients thanked him by name. Online, Piscine Évolution didn’t exist.
Tristan knows pools. His clients say so in their reviews: he shows up on time, he lets them know before he arrives, he explains what he found. Several thank him by name.
But until the summer of 2025, anyone who looked up “Piscine Évolution” found a holding page. No website. No service pages. Nothing to show the owner who needed someone to close their pool next week.
It wasn’t a skill problem. It was a visibility problem.
In a seasonal trade, that’s costly. People search in April and in September. If they can’t find you then, they forget you until next year.

What We Did
What we found
Pool owners don’t search for “a pool company.” They search for a specific job, in their town: in-ground liner replacement in Brossard, liner repair in Sainte-Julie. And before they call anyone, they ask a question: my pool is losing water — leak or evaporation? So two things had to exist. A page for each job, where people look for it. And honest answers to their questions, from someone who does this work every day.
The real opportunity
Piscine Évolution doesn’t sell pools. It makes a pool easy to own: opening, closing, liners, leaks, upkeep. The client doesn’t want to become a technician. They want someone who picks up, explains, and handles the rest. Tristan was already doing that. People needed to be able to see it.
The Process
The bloom unfolds in order.
-
Phase 01
Clarity
- The insight: people search for a job and a town, not a company
- The category: caring for a pool that already exists, not building one
- A Brand Persona true to how Tristan works: explain before you sell
-
Phase 02
Strategy
- A site organized by service and by area, South Shore and North Shore
- A calendar set by the season: openings in spring, closings in fall
- A Tips section built on the questions owners actually ask
-
Phase 03
Launch
- Bilingual website live in September 2025
- First Tips articles published with the site
- First Google Ads campaign for closing season
-
Phase 04
Momentum
- 19 Tips articles, in French and English
- A seasonal newsletter, plus a booking notice before opening and closing
- A second season of ads, cheaper per request than the first
What His Clients Were Already Saying
When it’s urgent, nobody answers. Pool owners say it themselves. One client describes calling several companies on opening day, for a broken pump, and reaching nothing but voicemail. Then they reached Piscine Évolution.
The message was built on that. Not “the best service.” The company that picks up.
The Website
A site built around the jobs people search for.
One page per service: opening, closing, liner replacement, leaks, plumbing, lighting, automation. Each page describes the work and the area served. All of it in French and English, structured so Google and AI assistants can tell who does what, and where. After the homepage, the pool-closing page became the most-visited way in.
The Newsletter
One issue a season. Useful every time.
The list started from zero in March 2026. Since then: three seasonal issues — spring, summer, fall — each built from the Tips articles, plus a booking notice just before opening and closing. That’s the Essential rhythm: one issue every three months, and a reminder when it’s time to book.

The Social Posts
Every post points somewhere.
Each post turns a Tips article into something you can read in ten seconds — the two baskets to empty, the leaves to scoop while they still float — and links to the full answer. French and English in every caption. This fall, one post a week on Facebook and Instagram, carrying the booking offer when the season calls for it.
Social isn’t where Piscine’s requests come from. Search is. Its job is quieter: when someone checks the company before calling, they find it active, local and useful.

Statement
Launch an engaging website that clearly communicates your expertise, helps the right clients find you online, and turns visits into booked appointments.
The Content Ecosystem
Each piece makes the next one work harder.
The Tips articles answer the questions people ask before they call: the ageing liner, the dropping water level, the closing mistakes. The newsletter brings them back at the right point in the season. The booking notices land just before opening and closing — one subscriber in five clicked the last opening notice. None of it works alone. Together, it puts Piscine Évolution in front of hundreds of searches it didn’t appear for a year ago.

The ads fill the calendar when the season is tight. The rest of the year, the site keeps working, and it works better every season.
